* Well, this is a neat hike, but I'm not so sure I would call it a "peak". The formal prominence is ~0', as the col in back of the peak is about the same height.

Route starts at First Creek trailhead, just off the right side of map. My 60csx GPS never lost lock, even in the deep parts of the canyon. |
You can often find a class 2 way around obstacles… or you can climb over them. |
Richard and Doyle prepare to go up through a tunnel. |

Judy travels up the tunnel. |
One diverges left from the trail to Mount Wilson, and travels up this steep ramp, |

The "peak" is at the head of this box canyon. |
Steeper than it looks. |

|
Lunch at the destination. |
The S summit of Mt. Wilson is in the background. |

Peter, Peter, peak-pointer. |

Lots of steep ramps with some water. |

Near the end of the hike. It was only about 1 PM, but the canyon was dark and the sun was behind the SW walls. |
