Morey and Table Mts., NE of Tonopah, NV

pics by Harlan W. S.
July 11-12, 2008

Please note: the road up Sixmile Canyon is very rough; 4WD vehicles have been found abandoned on the route. I had to make 21 stream crossings (with water) to get to 7500’. The brush hangs very low over the wet sections, and there were 3’-tall weeds growing in the road in places. Don’t take a car that has a nice paintjob.

Table is also called Danville Peak. (Warning: this classic song is truly painful.)

Tonopah is off the map,

down from the lower left-hand corner.

This unusual approach takes good dirt roads

to the base of Sixmile Canyon. From there,

the road is rough and appears to

be recently abandoned.

There was a great campsite (dry) at 8200’.

I think this black plastic is part of the underside

I found only a witness benchmark.  I suspect
