Oak Creek "Peak" in Red Rock (near Vegas).

This is one of the "peaks" in Red Rock that is really just a neat hike, as the actual prominence of the "peak" is about 65' (it's a sandstone prominence that abuts the higher limestone thrust to the west). But it sure looks like a peak as you approach from the east! The southern route is class 3,  minor class 4, mainly because the rock is so polished and you may have to ponder a bit to get past the dryfalls. The descent off the N side is class 2/3, but again you must watch the routes around dryfalls. There is a sustained class 4 route (not shown) up the east ridge.
