Sandstone & Fork Peaks in Red Rock (near Vegas)

This is the perfectly legal approach – pay $5 to park at Spring Mountain Ranch, and walk on their trails to BLM land.

The majority of the route is trailless, somewhat tricky, and there are a few creepy sections.

	CP & DB come up the wash.	Redbud.
Now we leave the wash and start climbing ESE.	DB said the scrub oak and Manzanita made the trip worthwhile.	Climbing E up the creepy slabs.
DB didn’t need the handline, but we didn’t like the varnish.	Up through the notch (view W).
We approach Fork Peak; Sandstone in back (view E).		Scrambling down Fork.
