LVMC: Summerlin Peak, 5356' Ridge, and Loop

pics by Harlan W. S.; hike led by Joel B.
Dec. 15, 2007

This hike starts at a dirt road on the west side of Cliff Shadows Road, shortly after Cliff Shadows diverges at the west end of Cheyenne.  The dirt road is just south of some office buildings.  There are a few spaces to park on BLM land, just south of the concrete ditch.

Accumulated elevation gain is ~3200’ for the entire loop.  The rock is very frictional, but also very rough on the skin.  There is no trail, and this hike might be deadly hot from April to October.

Another trip to Summerlin Peak is here.
