San Gabriels, CA Rehab: Pine Mt, Dawson Peak, and San Antonio (Baldy, 10064').

Thanks to Jon & Malia for arranging this trip, thanks to Cory for company. My 4th rehab hike!

This is not the fastest way up Baldy, but it is rarely used, so one may hardly see another person till reaching the crowded summit of Baldy. If you are lucky enough to be able to drive past the gate at Guffy Camp (as we were), you can cut off 4 miles RT and some extra gain-- so the RT is just ~8 miles, with 4800' accumulated gain. I got to the top a bit early, and jogged over to West Baldy and back, for a total of ~5100' gain.

The next morn I walked a bit N on the
PCT, and caught the sunrise.

In a minute, the early glow lit up

We drove to the trailhead, and
