Oops! This page is here by mistake! El Padre is just WSW of La Madre, and is often climbed in the same day. It rises about 450' above the common saddle, and is thus a "true" peak by the Colorado rule. When I first climbed it in 2004, there were very few names in the register, and no pencil to sign in; then by 2006 the register was lost, so I put a new one in. Then in 2007, someone found the old register! Magic?
