Few people had ever climbed Jumbo Peak until ~2008; then the prominence craze tool over, and folks wanting to bag all the 2K peaks in Nevada became extremely interested. There are "non-technical" routes on the peak (I've taken one of them, though some may dispute my designation), but the least complicated approaches involve low class 5 with memorable exposure. The top of the peak is a huge split boulder, over 100' high, and presents a challenge. It is still a rarely-visited peak. Link to trip report for Jumbo Peak
