This is another peak in -- of all places -- the Grand Canyon. The access is right off a paved road near the South Rim. When we went in 2010, we oscillated between heat and an almost alpine climb with ice axes. There is mention of a class 3 route, but we didn't find it; there was one chimney -- hard with mountaineering boots and snow -- that might be "just" Class 4 in drier weather. The top of the peak is below the canyon rim, and you have to climb down, cross to the north side, before you climb back up south to the summit. Link to trip report for Sinking Ship
