This little prominence is seen by tens of thousands of people each year, as they hike down the Kaibab Trail into Grand Canyon. Getting to the top of O'Neill Butte is invigorating, but not easy; one must wend around to the north side, and find a squeeze chimney. Teamwork definitely helps on this one; one person cam help boost other up the tight chimney, then those wjho come out the top can drop a hand line for the booster. Link to trip report for O'Neill
