Nick N told me about this peak back in 2002, and as an elevation bigot, I pretty much ignored his advice. When I finally went in 2008, I was stunned by the neat canyons and beautiful vistas over Valley of Fire. We returned and took the arches descent, doing two raps on the way. There are undoubtedly easier ways up, but the canyon we took is neat and has a class 3 section on ascent that will get your attention. Link to trip report for North Fire Peak
