This peak is west of "Summerlin Peak," and is easily accessed from the equestrian parking off Cliff Shadows Road (near Cheyenne and route 215). Previously it was simply called "Peak 5356," and was an afterthought from climbing Summerlin Peak. Woody is really much nicer than its eastern neighbor, and depending on your comfort level, you can walk the very edge of a huge cliff for much of the route. A nice loop can be made over the Summerlin Peak, then down to the north of Woody.
The name came from a small statue of the "Woody" character from the movie "Toy Story;" that statue was near the summit for many years. Link to trip report for Woody Peak near Summerlin
